United Airlines launches largest network expansion in history By 2027, three new direct flights between the US and Italy will be added.

From Newark they will fly to Sardinia and Sicily, from Washington directly to Milan without transfers. The season starts at the end of May and tickets are already on sale.

The airline now has more direct flights between countries than any other carrier. This is the best chance to quickly get to the Adriatic or Sardinian coast.
