Portugal added nearly 200 MW of wind power capacity in the first half of 2026. The country was dragged into the top 10 leaders in new construction along with Poland and France.
In Europe for six months installed 8.8 GW of new windbreakers, which is 30% more than a year earlier. These stations will be enough to cover seven million households and reduce gas imports by almost a quarter.
By the end of the decade, the continent will have collected about 436 GW of total capacity. Onshore expansion is ahead until 2030, although offshore projects are slow.
