Portugal has allocated another 3.5 million euros for coastal rehabilitation after storms. Now the total fund of the Sustainable Territories program has reached 80 million euros.

The Ministry of the Environment approved the expansion of the list of municipalities: new funds will go to Albufeira, Portimana and other cities affected by cyclones Cristina, Leonardo and Marta. As a result of natural disasters killed at least 19 people.

The new money will be spent not on urgent work, but on important projects for residents: strengthening dunes, repairing embankments, restoring sidewalks and stabilizing coastlines.
