Issue No. 369
In the center of Athens, an office skyscraper turned into a hotel in a couple of months. Now on Thymistocleus street 11 there is a hostel with 43 rooms, and next to it there is a catering area.
The Aroundtown investor has for the first time adapted the building for a hotel in Greece and signed a long-term contract with operator SmartRental. The project is located at the historical triangle of Omonia, Syntagma and Monastiraki: to the university and the main shopping street to walk.
The subway is nearby, and local demand for such formats is growing. Adapting old buildings to suit the needs of tourists is becoming the new norm for the real estate market in Athens.
