Landlords in Portugal will raise fees by as much as 2.56% from 2027. That's more than last year's two and a quarter. The figures were confirmed by the National Institute of Statistics in August.

You can raise the price only after the publication of the data in the official notice until October 30. Landlords are required to give notice 30 days before the changes take effect. Without it, tenants don't pay more.

The rate of rental growth has accelerated. Last year, the indexation was lower, but now inflation excluding housing dictates new conditions. Non-residents also monitor these changes.
