A property auction in Greece starts at a symbolic €1,000, but may end at €1.247.000.

The Tax Service (AADE) announced the autumn bidding for long-debtors. Lots will appear on September 16 and 17, as well as in November. They are waiting for land, houses and apartments in Attica, Mykonos, Crete and Halkidiki.

The cheapest plot is 57 "squares" in Prosotsani for €1,000. The most expensive property in Athens costs €1.247.000: this is a 183.6-square building at the intersection of Lloyd George and Finlay streets.
