Europe accounted for a third of the world’s holiday spending in 2025. That’s nearly $2 trillion, according to WTTC data.

The southern countries of the region became the leader of growth. Experts attribute the success to strong demand in the summer and the flow of tourists from other areas. Analysts predict an acceleration of the pace for 2026.
