Cyprus building permits rise 35.1% in January–April 2026

Cyprus authorised 639 building permits in April 2026, up 10.7% year on year. They were worth €413 million, covered 335,336 square metres and provided for 1,728 homes. Across January to April, 2,915 permits were issued, up 35.1% from 2,157 a year earlier; their value rose 46.1% to €1.67 billion. The planned number of homes increased 65% to 7,131. Residential permits drove much of the growth, while the authorised area for non-residential buildings fell 46.4%. These figures describe permits, not completed construction or property prices.
