Algarve tops 2026 family holiday value ranking

The Algarve ranked first among 22 European beach destinations in the 2026 Family Holiday Report by Post Office Travel Money and TUI, rising from third place in 2025. A basket of ten holiday expenses cost £139.65, down 2.7% from the previous year. The comparison covers spending at the destination and excludes accommodation and transport, so it is not a ranking of total holiday costs.
