Six Senses makes Portuguese debut with 58 luxury residences and 70-room hotel in Comporta
Sales and construction have commenced on Six Senses Comporta in the Alentejo region, marking the celebrated hospitality group's first venture into the Portuguese market. The project has been designed by British architecture studio Michaelis Boyd, known for its work with Soho House. Residences range from 210 to 1,400 square metres and are divided into three design styles: Sand, Forest and Lake.
All homes operate on solar energy and are equipped with passive cooling systems. Local materials—pine, cork and terracotta render—feature throughout. Residents have access to a three-building spa complex designed in dune-inspired architecture, an organic vegetable garden, a private cinema and a lakeside jetty. The complex sits on 400 hectares of land, which includes an 18-hole golf course and beach access.
Developed by VIC Properties, the project is positioned as a new standard for sustainable luxury and integrated wellness in Europe. Owners will benefit from the Six Senses Earth Lab programme, which enables participation in sustainable development initiatives.
