🇮🇹Italy
Issue No. 427
Buying real estate in Italy is possible without personal presence at most stages.
If you cannot come, a power of attorney (procura notarile) allows the representative to sign the deal. The document is prepared by an Italian lawyer, certified by a notary in your country and requires an apostille.
The funds are transferred directly to the notary’s escrow account, not through the principal’s account. This guarantees the security of the transaction and the protection of funds before the transaction is registered in the land registry.
