🇮🇹Italy
Issue No. 331
House prices in the EU have risen by 60% and rents have risen by 20% over the past decade. Millions of citizens can no longer afford a home, Brussels says.
The European Commission is preparing a law: the city authorities will be able to limit short-term rentals in areas with a shortage of housing. This will help stabilize the market and support local residents, writes The Local Italy.
But the rules are clearly spelled out: owners who rent out their apartments will not suffer. But investors will have to pay more attention to areas under market pressure.
