🇮🇹Italy
Issue No. 324
Italians are preparing to pay 200 euros more for light and heat by autumn. Consumer union Codacons warns bills will rise by an average of 633 euros from September to November.
During the year, electricity prices soared by 61%, and gas almost doubled, by 109%. The main cause of the crisis is the war in Iran, which is putting pressure on world markets like a block. Italy, which imports energy, already pays some of the highest tariffs in Europe.
In addition to utilities, gasoline and products will rise in price: the family will spend an additional 93 euros on gas stations and 70 euros on groceries. Geopolitics is hitting the pockets again.
