€21.6 million investment in a train instead of a hotel. In Portugal, the Valverde Train project is launched: the old coupes of the 1970s will be restored and turned into a suite with night flights.

EU support totalled €9.8 million. The train will run through little-known areas, offering gastronomy and the traditions of local communities. The plan is to create 35 jobs by 2029.

The routes, prices and dates of the first flights have not yet been announced. This is a project by Alva Rail.
